ahbuggrit Do you have a large circle to talk fan stuff with? A small circle? Do you have one-off chats with other fans randomly, with little engagement thereafter? Do you stick to specific fandom stuff, or talk about fandom trends more widely?
olivermossMost of my ships are ghost ships or kayaks. I've recently gotten into IronStrange, which is great because it's an active ship full of elements I've liked for a long time. It's been ages since I've actually been part of an active ship. This is so nice!

Admittedly, we've been quiet as heck lately (we're all Old, this means we're also Busy). (It didn't help that we made the move when I was battling a four month long migraine cycle.) We should work on changing that, but in the meantime, she asked if we had a promo graphic.
We don't.
Anyone have some Mad Photoshop Skillz they want to apply to the task? I'm willing to bribe you with gen fic if we share a fandom. :)

This week I've been reading fanfic (it's what I primarily consume), and reading in the One Day at a Time fandom, and trying to find some new faves in the OMG Check Please fandom. Fics for Hannibal and Pride (2014) prior to that.
Tempted to search out some Black Panther fanart after some cool stuff crossing my feed, but I don't want spoileRs (I HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET; A TRAVESTY). Ditto for The Shape of Water

BUT, here is a tweet from the show's creator addressing toxicity in the fandom, before the show was even greenlit:
"Hints haven't been working, so I'll just say it now: Stop shitting on other shows in the name of Infinity Train. You're taking the hard work that people put into their shows and disparaging it when they're trying to have their moment. It's just mean and breeds animosity. Stop."
I came across this tiny fandom for the show a while ago. I've had niche fandoms, but this was next level. An animated short existed, and some people speculated it would become a show mostly from stalking people's Linked In pages.
I've been in fandom a long-ass time. I've never seen anything like this, though.
The short looks cool and I hope the show is good, but ... just ... massive drama before the show is even greenlit?

olivermossThis is my favorite holiday event. You fill out their thingie and the comm's mods turn it into a stocking for people to fill. It's like an exchange, but without the pressure. So if you ever wanted to take part in an exchange but did want to for reasons, this is fantastic.
If you are up for a challenge, you can ask the mods for lists of stockings that need more fills. I did some doodles and stuff outside my usual fandoms last year to help out.
