"What Harry Potter Fan Fiction Taught Me About Sex

Learning to appreciate my chamber of secrets."

"But what about the nonphysical? Where would I be mentally after that? Would my emotional reaction to it differ at 15 years old? What about 18? Would I want to tell anyone? How would people react if I did tell them? Did I care what my friends thought? Rather than simply being told I shouldn't do it, I sat down and pondered whether or not I would ever actually want to. Writing fan fiction meant reasoning through actions and the resulting emotions in a way my teachers never asked for, even after my supposed spouse killed our egg child."

A funny piece that I related to in parts.

Read this piece today, Fic, Interrupted and was nodding along with it - I have WIPs I have not updated with aaages, though I had published the first one with the intention to not do like the authors that left me hanging LOL. (i do plan to update..... eventually....). Though after writing and not updating (and growing up) I have become less expectant of authors. Will read a WIP if it sounds interesting, I have no hard rule to not read them.

So, WIPs.

As a reader, do you read WIPs? Or only completed fics?
As a writer, do you post only completed fics or do you write as you go?

It's hot and I'm snarky, let's go!

You know the feel, you find a fic with the perfect pairing and the perfect plot, (or no plot) you sit gleefully down with a drink and...ugh. The things. Whatever things they are. Over use of the word touche, a wall of text, surprise infidelity or MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH!

😤

So, what are your fan fiction irritants?
